Friday (which was also my 29th birthday!) we went to Biscuit Head, one of our favorite breakfast places. Only problem was as soon as I walked in I got very nauseous! Luckily I was still able to enjoy a regular biscuit while we hid in the back away from the kitchen. After that we headed over to Mission Hospital to visit all of our old coworkers. It was so great to see everyone. We really miss our lil "work family". Many of our old coworkers have watched us buy our first home, get engaged, and many attended our wedding. So we were especially excited we were able to share our exciting baby news in person!! We rounded out our day with a visit to The Wedge with the Pardens, Jonathan, and Buffy. The Wedge was the first place I really missed being able to have a beer. I miss all of the delicious Asheville beer. I am sure we will take the baby on a visit to Asheville next year, and I can enjoy some then :)
Friday night I got to spend my birthday celebrating with Jackie, Mark, and Peg (some of our best friends from Asheville). We had many Sunday night dinners, holiday, and birthday celebrations with them while we lived in Asheville. Needless to say we miss them so much, and our visit was way too short! I couldn't have thought of a better way to spend my birthday, and I even got to end my night snuggling with my favorite lil teddy bear, Chip! And of course they are all very excited about the baby! Jackie gets the award for first one to touch my "baby bump" lol.
Thankful they didn't make me blow out 29 candles! |
Chip! I miss snuggling with this lil guy. But we found our old spot on the couch just like I had never left. |
My itty bitty baby bump...pre food ;) It looked a lil bigger by the end of the night. |
On Monday and Tuesday I had orientation for my second per diem perfusion position at Doctor's hospital. That and a couple days of work at OSU made for a very busy week! I was very thankful to make it to Thursday evening, and a long holiday weekend!
Joe and I also received a gift from our friends Nate and Callie. They are so incredibly sweet! We put one of first ultrasound pictures in the frame, but are hoping to add a new picture from our next ultrasound on Monday, when we will be able to see a little bit more of the baby! :)
Baby is the Size of a Prune
How far along? 10 weeks
Maternity clothes? No, but my dress pants were very tight for orientation. And I can no longer wear my grey high waisted shorts.
Sleep? Want as much as I can get, and unfortunately with being so busy didn't get quite as much this week as I probably wanted.
Best moment this week? Getting to share our news with all of our friends in Asheville!
Miss Anything? Asheville beer.
Movement? No...although the books tell me Baby Lude is starting to move now :)
Food cravings? None this week.
Anything making you queasy or sick? The smell of Biscuit Head.
Have you started to show yet? Yes...a tiny little bump! It has popped more this week than in weeks past. Joe and I really noticed it when I was getting ready for the wedding on Saturday.
Gender? We are not finding out!!! So y'all will just have to wait! Joe still thinks it is a boy. I have no idea yet.
Belly Button in or out? In. But I think it will be out eventually. Time will tell!
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy :)
Looking forward to? Seeing Joe's family so we can share the news!! 4th of July cookouts! Seeing the baby at our appointment on Monday!
